My grandmother…..
Hello, I am new to this group and I am on here on behalf of my deaf grandmother. She is 89 years old and loves to attend deaf bingo and some of the events that are held at the PAD and in Swissvale.
Due to her age, she recently stopped driving and it has become increasingly difficult for me to get her to the bingo events that she loves so much.
She currently lives with my mother in Elizabeth Township, which is a bit of a drive to Pittsburgh. I am hoping to find some friends on here that perhaps live close and could visit with her or even help her get to some of these events. She misses her deaf friends so much. Ever since she had to give up driving, she rarely gets to see them.
I am hoping that through this site, she can make some new friends, reconnect with some old ones and maybe attend some future events.
I apologize that you must go through me to reach her, however, at 89 years old she is not computer literate.
