Power Wheelchair Soccer Event
My name is Tom Cunningham and I am writing to you from Syracuse, NY to inform you of an exciting event coming to Hopewell High School in Aliquippa, PA on the 29ht and 30th of December, 2010. Teams of power wheelchair athletes from Syracuse, Fort Wayne, IN and Baltimore, MD will
be playing a round robin power wheelchair soccer tournament at the Hopewell High School gymnasium. I am writing to you in the hope that this event might be of interest to you and yours within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Science. You can learn more about power
soccer at www.powersoccerusa.net.
Our goal in addition to a couple of days of intense competition is to
introduce power soccer to as many people in the power wheelchair
community as possible.
My thought in contacting you is that you might have either patients, students or staff who would be intersted in learning more about our sport and the many benefits it brings to power
wheelchair users. Also, if you are aware of anyone who might be
interested please pass along this information to them.
Just so you know the team from Syracuse is made up of my son who is 11 years old, one high schooler, two young men in college and a recent
college graduate. I offer this information so that you know and can pass along that age is not a factor in determining who can play.
If you have any questions please let me know, feel free to email or call
me at 315-447-1621.
Thanks for your time and if it makes sense I will look forward to seeing you in December
Powerfully yours,
Tom Cunningham
