Friday Night ASL Fight Club is a *FREE* monthly event hosted by Steel City Interpreters. (And who says we don’t love you!?!)
If you have a desire to improve your American Sign Language skills- then this is place for you to come. This is designed to improve the signing skills for ASL students, ITP students, interpreters and of course there will be Deaf instruction as well as instruction from seasoned interpreters. Come here to learn or to teach. If it’s your first time at Fight Club, you MUST sign.
This is the place to improve your fingerspelling, prepare for your NIC, get exposure to Deaf and Deaf/Blind interpreting and culture.
These workshops are to support your learning at your ITP or ASL class. Teachers, please share this information with your students and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
The only requirement for membership is that you MUST be enrolled in ANY ASL course, Deaf studies course or interpreting program with the exception of working interpreters and Deaf. This means you can be enrolled at a community college, a university, HDS and if you are not yet registered as a student, email us for our winter schedule Beginners ASL non credit class. Classes are 8 sessions for $60 and there are no fees for books or hand outs.
Our classes run every Tuesday from 6-pm- 8pm, 2.15.10 – 4.5.10.

I have been taking ASL classes at wpsd. And was looking for a place to get together with other asl members to keep up with my fingerspelling, and signing skills. And I need a little improvement. And I do not want to forget what I learned. Hope to see you all soon. Debbie

Search asl fight club 2012 – go to the home page of the blog. FC is the last Friday of every month Jan-April and Sept-Nov. The information is on the blog.
